Bob was born on December 2, 1927 in Alton, Kansas. He moved to Prosser after his graduation from Toppenish High School in 1945. He married the love of his life Lola Gervasi in June 1949.
Bob served his country and community with commitment, evident by his service in the Army Engineer Corps during the Korean war and as a Prosser volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. He worked for the city of Prosser, Prosser Memorial Hospital, and WSU Experiment Station, retiring in 1990.
As a young man, Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with friends. He was a master craftsman restoring antique furniture, crafting stunning stain glass pieces, and maintaining an impeccable home. He loved jigsaw puzzles, reading, his dog, and working in his garden. He enjoyed annual trips to the Oregon coast with his family and afternoons spent attending football or baseball games.
His devotion, loyalty and love to his friends and family was unparalleled. He loved nothing better than time spent with family, especially time with his beloved wife Lola.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held in the spring.
Rest in peace dear Bob.
