Polly Nell Moritzky, 69, former longtime Grandview resident, passed away on October 26, 2015 at her home in Prosser.
She was born on December 11, 1945 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to Peter and Virginia (Blaine) Dykes. She was raised and educated in Oklahoma. Polly married Ronald Moritzky in 1962 and the couple made their home in Grandview in 1968. After attending community College, Polly worked as a bank teller at Rainier National Bank in Grandview for twenty years. In 1998 she moved to Oklahoma City where she resided until 2010, when she made her home in Prosser.
She was a member of the Eagle’s Lodge, enjoyed craft work, thrift store shopping and her community of friends at Prosser Manor. She had a great sense of humor and was always full of laughter.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Shane) King of Seguin, TX; and her two sons, Sebastian (Sarah) Moritzky of Prosser and Paul (Emily) Moritzky of Honolulu, HI; and nine grandchildren, Jackson, Luke, Tate, Samantha, Caleb, Ashlyn, Savannah and Sierra Moritzky and Victoria Fitch; and one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Moritzky. She is also survived by her sisters, Deanie Brown of Oklahoma, Billie Buske of Oklahoma, Tresa Brown of Louisiana and Viola Scott of Oregon; and two brothers, Terry McKinney of Oklahoma, and Edgar Hutchinson of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia (Blaine) Malone in 1990, father, Peter Dykes in 1951, husband, Ronald, in 1994 and her brother, Peter Dykes.
Viewing will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Friday, October 30th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31st at Prosser Funeral Home. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your charity of choice in her name.
