Marjorie Viola Erickson passed peacefully on November 28, 2011. She was born September 24, 1914 in Roberts County, South Dakota to Louie and Ethel Vollmer. Her family moved to Deer River, Minnesota, via covered wagon, in 1923. It was in Minnesota that the True Gospel, as Jesus taught, came to their family and was embraced wholeheartedly. Marjorie followed Jesus’ teachings and the revelation she received all her days.
Marjorie married Arnold Erickson on August 1, 1933 in Deer River, Minnesota. Following their marriage they lived in Minnesota, Washington and Arizona, settling in Outlook in 1954. They loved to travel and had many adventures, traveling in their motor home and visiting family. Marjorie kept going south for the winters after Arnold passed in 1995. She was a homemaker, who loved having company come and fed them well.
Marjorie is survived by one sister, Dorothy Barnhill; five children, Blaine (Barbara) Erickson of Grand Rapids, MN, Helen Slotten of Wahpeton, ND, Roger (Sue) Erickson of San Jose, CA, Karen Oetken of Spring Valley, CA, Joann (Myron) Weld of Prosser, WA; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren: and three sisters-in-law, Faye (Ron) Eicker, Louise Erickson and Edith Shock.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Prosser Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 5, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Prosser Funeral Home
