Lloyd Eugene Claunch, age 89, entered into rest on December 8, 2015 at his home in Prosser.
He was born on December 22, 1925 to Lloyd and Nora (Whities) Claunch in Pocatello, Idaho where he was raised and educated. He enlisted in the US Navy and served for 2 years during WWII.
On February 15, 1957 Lloyd and Martha Marie Haller were married in Southern California where they made their home until moving to Prosser in 1972. He worked as an estimator for Monarch Machine and Tool in Pasco until retiring in 1992.
Lloyd enjoyed fishing, cribbage, playing pool and pinochle at the Senior Center and redesigning everything. He especially enjoyed spending time with his kids and helping them with projects.
He was a member of Life Point Church.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Martha Marie Claunch of Prosser; son, Rick Claunch (Norma) of Shady Cove, Oregon; daughters, Sheryl Stovall (Oren) and Glenda Fewkes (Mark) all of Prosser; sister, Venita Melton of Medford, Oregon; grandchildren, Michael Hazzard (Randie), Jeremy Stovall (Noelle), Brian Hazard and Shannon Hazzard; and great-grandchildren, Lily, Levi and Mylee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William and Hamp; sister, Loretta Steadman; and an infant brother and sister.
Visitation will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 15th from 4:00-7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Wednesday, December 16th at the Life Point Church in Prosser. Concluding services and burial will follow in the Prosser Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Life Point Church. You may leave a message for the family at www.prosserfuneralhome.com
