Lillian Mitchell

d. February 26, 2018

Lillian Rae Mitchell, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2018.
She was born December 14, 1932 to Roy and Elsie (Gordon) Harris in Sunnyside.
She married James Mitchell Sr. in 1953 and they raised their four children in Ellensburg until her husband’s death in 1969. In 1970, she moved with her children to Prosser.
Lil enjoyed many hobbies: bowling, softball, riding horses, walking, and reading. Her favorite book was the King James Version of the Bible. She volunteered at the Christian School at Friendship Baptist Church, where she was a member for many years. Later, she home schooled her youngest grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: James Mitchell Jr, Susan (Terry) Andrews, and Karen (Edward) Saenz: grandchildren Sky, Craig, and Tabitha Mitchell, Molly (Jason) Townsend, Lindsey (Daniel) Armstrong, and Kelsey Lambert; great-grandchildren Dani Dunkin, Jacob and Ryan Armstrong, and Aaron Moreno; sisters Virginia McVey, Norma Doak, Dorothy (Robert) Thoms, Betty LaBorde, Rose (Ted) Schell, Anna Saddler, and Kathy (Edward) Miner; brothers Gordon Harris, Francis (Janet) Harris, Richard (Jeanie) Harris, and Perry (Irma) Harris.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Elsie Harris, husband James Mitchell Sr, son Michael Mitchell, grandson River Saenz, sisters June Dunn, Leona Dunn, Stella Harris, Nancy Harris, Ellen Laukala, and brother Stanley Harris.
Lil prayed faithfully for her precious family. All she ever wanted was to be reunited with all of them one day. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, 1:00pm at Friendship Baptist Church in Prosser. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018, 2:00pm at High Valley Cemetery in Ellensburg. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
