Levi Albert Turner, Jr passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2019 in Prosser with children and family surrounding him with love.
He was born to Levi Albert Turner, Sr and Nora Jeanette (Oakes) Turner in Houston, MO on February 14, 1936. The family moved to Mabton, Washington in 1938. He attended school in Mabton and graduated from Mabton High School in 1954. He married his high school sweetheart Patricia Lou Larsen and they had 6 children together. After working in Western Washington and California, he settled in Grandview until he moved to Prosser in 1979 and married Bobbie Powel Turner.
He worked for the Sunnyside Valley Irrigation District and at Hanford as a carpenter before starting his own contracting company that provided remodeling and construction projects to many residents in and around Prosser, Washington.
He was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and spending time with his children and other family members.
He was a loving father, husband, brother and son. He is survived by 3 sons, Jerry “Wayne” Turner of Sunnyside, Michael Turner of Grandview and Gary Turner of Puyallup, WA, and 2 daughters, Katherine Turner-Lawrence of Puyallup, WA and Ina Abercrombie of Irrigon, OR. He also has 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Turner of Spokane, WA who passed away in 2015.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sunnyside, WA on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 11am. You may leave a message for the family at www.Prosserfuneralhome.com
