Leonard Leon Ball (Lenny) was born in Snoqualmie Washington to his Mother, Mary Ethel (Molly) Foster (Ball) and his father Ira L Ball on September 3 1926. Leonard lived his early years in the Seattle Washington area and joined the Army in December 1945 at Camp Roberts, California. In the Army Lenny was an athletic director and was shipped to Alaska and the Aleutian islands. Lenny remained in the Army until honorably discharged in January of 1949.

After the Army he work mostly in the logging industry until the 1960’s and then most notably he worked repairing vacuum cleaners in the Seattle Area. In the early 1970’s he moved to eastern Washington to open a vacuum shop of his own. He later married Bernice Stowell in 1976 in Sunnyside Washington where he had a vacuum shop at that time and continued living there. Lenny and Bernice had shops in Sunnyside and Grandview Washington until he decided to retire from that in about 1984 to spend more time at home with his family. Shortly after that he moved to the Mabton area.

Lenny was preceded in death by his parents Mary Foster-Ball and Ira L Ball, his sister Lucille Ball, wife Bernice Stowell and Son Dave W Stowell. Lenny is survived by his sons Phil Stowell of Mabton, Ken Stowell of Prosser, Sheila Barlow of Vaughn Washington and his Granddaughter Megan Stowell of Mabton.
