Lenzie Sizemore went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2015. Lenzie was born in Russellville, AK on March 6, 1928 to Felix and Rachel(Hensley) Sizemore. His family moved to Prosser in 1935 after his father who was a sheriff was shot by some outlaws. He attended school in Prosser and graduated in 1946.
Lenzie competed in rodeos all over the Northwest and Midwest. He worked for various farmers on the Roza and as a grounds man for the P.U.D. and that's where him and Marilyn met. Lenzie and Marilyn were married on June 17, 1950. They raised 4 children on their farm in Prosser.
Lenzie built a Conastoga wagon that him and Marilyn took on many trips with their friends to the Anderson Ranch on Rattlesnake hills, Bickelton, and Giffin lake to name a few . They enjoyed going camping in the mountains at Conrad Meadows with all their friends and family, taking the horses and wagons. Later they purchased a cabin on Chinook Pass where they spent many weekends with friends and family.
Lenzie enjoyed being outdoors with his horses, livestock, his kids, grandkids, and later his great grandkids. He enjoyed growing a garden and was known for his sweet corn.
Lenzie and Marilyn touched many lives welcoming many friends to become family.
Lenzie was proceeded in death by his wife Marilyn (Butler) Sizemore, his father and mother Felix and Rachel (Hensley) Sizemore, and brothers Hugh, Floyd, Lee, Taylor, and sisters May, Winnie, Dorothy, and Lucinda.
Lenzie Sizemore is survived by his son Jim and wife Nancy (Kayser), daughter Janice (Baze), son Jay and wife Joy(Jensen), and daughter Judy and Bud Stanton. Her grandchildren Stacy Sizemore(Wells) and Ryan, Travis Baze and Taryn, Will Sizemore and Kelli Willis, Wade Stanton and Danielle, Justin Baze and Jessica, Jody Stanton, Cori Sizemore (Kane) and Mark. His Great Grandchildren KateyJay Sizemore, Dock Baze, Callie Stanton, Kryssa Baze, Kayser Kane, Reese Kane, Teagan Baze, AdaLynn Baze, Westin Sizemore and Hadley Stanton.
Private family services will be held. Donations can be made to Hospice.
