Laverne May Beal

d. October 26, 2015

Laverne May Beal was born May 1, 1912 in Madison, Wisconsin. She was the second child of Raymond S. All and Metta Belle Serles. She married George Wernett and lived in Chicago, Illinois and had two beautiful daughters, Georgia and Loretta.
The family moved to Centralia, WA in 1938 and after a six month hiatus in Reno, Nevada, Laverne and the gals moved to Seattle, near the soon to be built Sea Tac airport. There she married, Art Beal, a wonderful man who worked at Boeing while the girls went to Angle Lakes School. While they were building the airport, Laverne was taught how to ride a bicycle on the huge runways that were under construction. Art died after almost forty years of marriage.
Her daughter, Georgia married Douglas Rogers in 1950. Their marriage gave Laverne five grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and forty-three great- great grandchildren.
Laverne lived with her eldest daughter in Prosser for almost two years until passing away under the tender care of hospice at the age of 103 on October 26, 2015.
Graveside services were held at the Outlook Cemetery. You may leave a message for the family at www.prosserfuneralhome.com
