Kenneth L. Jones
Ken Jones, 85 of Grandview, WA. died on 1-10-2025 after
battling many health issues. He was born to Harry and
Harriet (Malone) Jones on 1-23-1939, in Pueblo Colo. The
family moved to the Tri Cities when Ken was a child, where
he attended the Richland schools, playing football for the
Richland Bombers and graduating from Columbia High in
1957. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy in 1958,
transferring to the US Air Force after basic training. He was
honorable discharged in 1962 and served in the reserves
for several years.
Ken had a passion for old cars, owning many, and showing
them in car shows around the area.
He worked in the QA/QC profession at Hanford for JA
Jones, Kaiser Engineers and Westinghouse until he retired
from Hanford in 1996. After retirement, he could it sit
home, going to work for several years on the weapons
demolition project in Hermiston, Oregon, and then
Intermech Mechanical contractors in Richland.
Having received Christ as his personal Savior a year or so
ago, he was a much happier person.
Ken is survived by his 3rd wife Dana (Russell) Jones of 30+
years and his sons, Rick (Heidi) Mike (Karyl) and Pat (Patti)
along with numerous grand children and great
grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 step sons, and many more step
grandchildren and step great grandchildren who called him
Bompa. He was preceded in death by his sister Nancy, a niece Anne
Marie, and his parents Harry and Harriet. A celebration of life service with military honors will be
held at Anchor Point Christian Fellowship at 609 W Bonnieview Rd. Grandview, WA. on February 1 at 11 AM.
There will be fellowship after the service next door in the
fellowship hall, lunch provide.
