Guy William Dupont

Guy William DuPont passed away at home on Sunday June 24th at the age of 47 after a five year long courageous struggle with diabetes. He was one of four children, born to George and Delores DuPont on September 25th, 1964. He graduated from Naches High School in 1983. He played football in eighth grade and he lettered on the high school golf team.
Guy’s hobbies were many…fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and wood cutting with Uncle Leo, to name a few. He also enjoyed time spent with his dog Bubba. Some of his closest friends were made while he was playing league darts at Curleys and Ramblers. One of Guy’s closest friends was Mike Flowers. They used to joke and call each other by their mother’s first names. Guy was always fun to be around, and he always had something “smart” to say and he had a nickname for everyone. His phone calls are sure to be missed by many.
When we think of our brother, we are reminded of our childhood growing up in Suntides. We used to ride our bikes to the store, and spend all of our money on sacks of candy (I think we funded Leroy’s retirement). We loved climbing the mountain, hunting golf balls at the creek, running from the green cart (that was mostly Guy) swimming at buckskin creek, hanging out at the park in the tunnels (hiding from Mom), and hooky bobbing in the winter. Life was good, life is good and we love you and we will miss you brother.
Guy is survived by sisters, Darla Andrews and Danea Pearce, and Brother Gary DuPont. One nephew, Derek Hobbs, and three nieces, Jessica McAskill, Madison Pearce, and Natalie Andrews and numerous Aunts and Uncles and several close cousins. We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone that gave freely of their time to help our brother over the past several years.
Services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Moxee on Monday, July 9th at 11 am. Graveside services to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
