Gerald Lynn Crone , age 70 of Prosser, entered into rest on December 27, 2013 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. He was born on September 10, 1943 in Decatur, Arkansas to George and Pauline (Woodell) Crone. He grew up on the Satus and was educated in Mabton. After graduation from high school, he entered the US Army and served in Viet Nam as a Non-commissioned Officer. He then spent the next forty-six years in the transportation industry. After retiring from Noel Canning he then worked for Sysco Foods. On his 66th birthday, he retired permanently.
Gerald and Jacque Gould were married in Winnemucca, Nevada in 1977. They enjoyed many years hunting, fishing, riding horses & simply spending time together. Gerald’s passion was “Trophy Mule Deer” and he spent his retirement on the hunt for the Big One. After hunting season closed he picked up his fishing rod for steelhead.
Gerald and Jacque were avid New York Yankees’ Fans. One of Gerald’s fondest memories was playing baseball with Mel Stottlemyer on the Mabton High School Vikings baseball team.
Gerald is survived by his wife, Jacque Crone of Prosser.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Thomas Crone.
A friends and family gathering to celebrate Gerald’s life will be held at a later date.
