Geneva “Jean” Broderson, age 78, entered into rest on January 15, 2013 at her home in Prosser. She was born on May 28, 1934 in Unionville, Missouri to Milton Owen and Dolly May (Buckalew) Farmer. She was raised and educated in Yakima, Washington. After graduation from high school, she attended nursing school and became a Registered Nurse. While in Yakima, she met Verle Broderson, who was stationed with the US Army. After the death of Verle, in 1991, Jean settled in Prosser where she raised all of her grandchildren.

Jean enjoyed daytime television and keeping up with the latest on FOX News. She loved being a homemaker and raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, preparing phenomenal meals for them. They were her greatest joy, especially, great-grandson, Caleb “Boo Boo”.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Verle; her children, John Broderson, Kathryn Briggs, Richard Dean Broderson, Kimberly Kay Broderson and Khristine Broderson; her sister, Betty Westerfield; and her brother, Bud Farmer.

A family and friends gathering was held on January 18.
