Esthela Perez Vazquez, age 51 of Pasco, entered into rest on April 5, 2012 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. She was born on April 16, 1960 to Rafael Vazquez Tovar and Esperanza Zavala Escobar in La Ribera, Jalisco, Mexico where she was raised and educated. She came to the United States in 1990 and settled in the Yakima Valley and the Prosser area. In 2004 she moved to Pasco where she owned and operated a food vending service.
Esthela was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing special meals for her family and friends. She was very athletic and loved playing soccer. She was a devoted fan at her families sporting events. She also enjoyed singing and dancing.
Esthela was a member of the Tri-Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview and later St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pasco.
She is survived by her daughter, Erendira Andujo and husband, Marcos; her sons, Rene Perez and his fiancée, Jessica Gudino and Apolo Perez, all of Prosser; her grandchildren, Eilee, Nancy, Delaney, Leslie and Johnny; and four sisters and six brothers, of Mexico and the Yakima Valley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at11:00 AM on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prosser. Concluding services and burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Prosser Funeral Home with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 PM.
