Constantino Martinez

d. November 18, 2014

Constantino Martinez, age 61, entered into rest on November 18, 2014 at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. He was born on August 24, 1953 in Zacapu, Michoacan, Mexico to David Barajas Martinez and Angela Gutierrez.

While living in Mexico, Constantino drove truck from coast to coast for two years. He moved to the United States at the age of 21 and settled in the Prosser area, where he lived for 40 years. He worked for Wyckoff Farms for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator and commercial truck driver.

Constantino enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, camping, and woodworking. He loved flowers, especially roses, singing Ranchero music, for which he won a contest in Mexico, and learning the history of just about anything. Most of all, he loved his family, especially the babies, who brought him great joy. A special time in his life came when he was introduced to Jehovah in 1990 and studied with Brother Webster and Ida.

Constantino is survived by his wife, Karen Anne Martinez of Prosser; his children, Jesus David Garcia and Thomas Garcia; his step-son, Thomas Rupert; his grandchildren, Carina A. Garcia, Thomas A. Garcia, Angela M. Garcia, Eziqueil D. Garcia and Cesar M. Garcia; his mother, Angela Martinez of Tijuana, Mexico; his sisters, Dolores Martinez, Antonia Martinez, Provedencia Martinez, Alicia Martinez and Maria Elena Martinez; his brothers, Francisco Martinez and Feliciano Martinez, all of Mexico; his aunt, Maria Salud Martin; his uncle, Bolmaro Mondragon Martinez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father and his sister, Consuelo Martinez.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Prosser Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Prosser.
