Brian Gerald Carlson, born December 16, 1953 to Walter and Kathryn (Kay) Carlson in Prosser WA, died August 14, 2012. He was raised on the family farm where he helped his Dad until the early 80’s when the farm was sold. Brian graduated from Prosser High School in 1972. In the fall of 1974 he met Kelly Collier (Goodboe) and they married April 24, 1979.
Brian worked at Seneca Foods for nearly 19 years. In 1996 he started working at Twin-City Foods and remained through the transition to Con-Agra Foods.
He enjoyed his grandchildren, watching baseball, volunteering at the Prosser Balloon Rally, and was generous with his wood working, calligraphy, and photography skills. Recently, he had great fun riding his motor-scooter.
Brian is survived by his wife, Kelly Carlson; daughter, Brandi Clark and her husband Larry Clark; grandchildren, Brandon Myers, Ryker Carlson-Marchand, Kaytie Wilson, Braxton Wilson, Baillee Wilson, and Jake Clark; siblings, Richard (Joanne) Carlson, Jim (Sharon Smith) Carlson, Mary (Marty Morris) Carlson, and Patty (Brian Kuhta) Carlson-Kuhta, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday August 18th, 1pm at the Prosser Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in Brian’s memory, to The Great Prosser Balloon Rally.
