Betty Gene Brown, age 69, entered into rest on June 1, 2013, at her home in Prosser. She was born on May 20, 1944, in Missoula, Montana to John Gress and Bertha (Peschel) Gress. She was raised and educated in Sunnyside. In 1959, Betty met her future husband, William A. (Buster) Brown. While home on leave from the military Buster and Betty were married on June 25, 1964.
Betty enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping with the family. She especially enjoyed taking care of her grandkids.
Betty is survived by four children, son, Walter G. Brown and wife, Maria of Murrieta, CA, son, William G. Brown of Prosser and son, Donald A. Brown and wife, Kelly of Prosser and her daughter, Betty Woods Deaton of Austin TX. She is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Deaton of Prosser and Shirley Uehling of South Worth, WA; and three brothers, Donald Gress, Lewis Gress and John Gress all of Prosser; seven grandchildren, Meagan Brown and Brandon Brown of Mountain Lake Terrace, WA and Xavier Buster Woods of Austin, TX, Emma Brown, Ashlynn Brown, Deegan Brown and Troy Erwin all of Prosser; two great grandchildren, Daemion Brown of Mountain Lake Terrace, WA and Hunter Erwin of Gulf Port, Mississippi; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Buster) Brown on April 20, 2002.
