Bertie Maye Nechanicky, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home December 30, 2016. She was born on May 7, 1943 to Hugh and Ella (McCall) Harsh in Prosser, WA where she was a lifelong resident.
Bertie owned and operated the Shear Delite beauty salon located in downtown Prosser. Over the years, she led multiple Bible studies and taught Sunday School. She loved going to the ocean, camping and most importantly spending time with family and friends.
Bertie is survived by her husband, Noel; her children, Shelly Stark, Anthony Wetmore, James Wetmore, Ross Nechanicky, and Nicole (Andy) Goodson; her 6 grandchildren, and her mother, Ella Harsh. She is also survived by her sisters, Patty Webber, Carol Kuatt, and Jeannie Grimes.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hugh Harsh, son-in-law, Jim Wright.
Prosser Funeral Home will host a viewing Thursday, January 5th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, January 6th from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM followed by graveside service at 11:00 at Prosser Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM at Grandview Church of the Nazarene, 500 N ELM ST, GRANDVIEW, WA.
