Antonio Sanchez Jr., known to many as Tony, was called up to Heaven to be at the side of our Father on November 27, 2015. Tony was born with a rare medical condition known as Arthrogryposis Multiplex, a condition that did not allow him to walk. He was born on July 22, 1991 in Prosser to Antonio Sanchez Sr. and Maria S. (Fuentes) Sanchez. The family was told that he would not live beyond a year and at six months old, was sent home with his family to spend his last days. Instead, Tony gave his family twenty-four years of victory and everyone he touched a lifetime of memories.
Tony graduated from Prosser High School in 2012. He was a kind, genuine, warm hearted kid and touched the lives of everyone he came across. He loved playing video games with his nephews and brother-in-law’s. But most of all, he loved his Dutch Brothers Coffee and his Seattle Seahawks. He will be deeply missed, especially by his mother, who never left his side.
Tony is survived by his parents, Antonio Sr. and Maria Sanchez of Prosser; his sisters, Lina (Mike) Pena, Rose Morales and Lupe Sanchez all of Prosser, Maggie (Cameron) Sanchez of Grandview and Amelia (Jesus) Perez of Kennewick; his brother, Josue Sanchez of Prosser; fourteen nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rafael Fuentes; uncle, Oscar Sanchez; and nephew, Rudy Antonio Pena.
Viewing will be held at Prosser Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday, December 2nd and 3rd from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 4th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sunnyside.
